diani house is one of the oldest houses on kenyas coast. Although modernized for Comfort, the house retains its original character and charm. the house has a large central living room and a spacious front verandah. The garden is a haven for Small animals Sykes, vervet and the rare Columbus angiogenesis monkeys; baboons; the tiny Suni antelope; bush babies, monitor lizards and many types of birds. Diani house is the much loved holiday home of the archer family and is managed by john And annelise (archer) Clark, who have lived there for 15 years and who enjoy sharing the beautiful coast and their intimate knowledge of it with their guests.
Location
diani house is situated approximately 30kms south of mombasa on diani beach. Getting there: A road transfer from Mombasa (international airport) takes approximately 1.5 hours. Direct flights into Ukunda airstrip, just 5 minutes transfer from Diani house, are by private Charter or by scheduled service between Ukunda, the masai mara and amboseli. There is a New air transfer service operating between Ukunda and Moil International, Mombasa, driving visitors can conveniently break the seven (or so) hour road journey between nairobi and mombasa.
Climate
Diani is hot and dry most of the time, but there is always a cool breeze off the beach. The Annual heavy long rains usually fall between April and June, and the milder short rains in October / november. the coolest months are may to september and the hottest months december to march.
