The lodge, built as an interpretation of a traditional Masai "Manyatta" (village) with domed huts, is set on a saddle of a hill overlooking the rolling plains at an attitude of 1450 metres with a spectacular view of the mara triangle one of the worlds richest wildlife sanctuaries.

At Masai Mara Game Reserve, in the mara triangle.. . The distance is about 320 Kms (06 hours) from nairobi. The lodge's maintenance of the road from the gate enhances accessibility. The Serena Airstrip is serviced by daily scheduled flights, in the morning from Nairobi, Nanyuki, samburu and in the afternoons from nairobi.
