the driftwood has been operating for over 30 years and is a favorite of upcountry kenya residents. Many Malindi residents have made the Driftwood theirclub, allowing them use of the hotel facilities. This creates a fantastic atmosphere, giving overseas visitors a chance to mingle with locals, many who are second or third generation kenyan. The Club is small and privately owned and is able to live by its logo; Informality at its Best The Driftwood is ideal for family holidays, many whom return year after year.
Location
The Driftwood Beach club is situated on the beautiful Silver sands beach, 3km south of Malindi town centre, and about a 5 minute drive from the malindi airport. Malindi is located on the shores of the Indian Ocean, approximately 120kms north of mombasa.
Climate
Situated in the tropics, the climate is as such. hot and humid. The seawater is just as warm with an average temperature of 20ºc and is very calm.
