It is close to Hells Gate National Park, with its spectacular gorges and hot springs, and Longonot National Park, which offers biking, walking and rock climbing.

Tropical climate with wet weather from May to July (Long Rains) and October to November (Short Rains). Temperatures ranging from 17° to 29°c. warm during the day and cool at night.
