ol donyo orok is nestled at the base of mt. meru with views of mt. kilimanjaro and the volcanic crater of mt. meru. giraffe wander beside the lodge and buffalo can be seen grazing in a nearby meadow. Oldonyo Orok, meaning Black Mountain in Maa, the language of the Maasai, is a privately run lodge that caters for small select groups.
