Zanzibar Beach Hotel

Situated on the beautiful white sand stretches of Matemwe Beach, on the north east coast of Zanzibar Island lies the Zanzibar Beach Hotel & Resort. Protected by a natural coral reef and surrounded by the crystal blue temperate waters of the Indian Ocean. Located a mere 45 minutes from the main airport, the resort has been carefully constructed around the island's natural features to blend harmoniously into the beach wilderness.

Location:

Located on the north-east coast of Zanzibar, an island on the east coast of Africa, about 60 kilometres from Tanzania's principal port of Dar es Salaam. High-speed ferries regularly call at Zanzibar from Dar es Salaam, as well as inexpensive commuter flights from the domestic terminal of the Dar es Salaam airport. The hotel is a 35 kilometre drive on a good tarmac road from Stone town.

Climate:

Situated just six degrees south of the Equator, Zanzibar enjoys a typical tropical climate - lovely warm weather and pleasant sea breezes that gently carry cool air off the Indian Ocean. The archipelago islands of Zanzibar experience ideal holiday weather for most of the year, with the exception of April and May which are subject to seasonal rains. There are also slight showers, which fall during the month of November. Being near the equator the islands are generally warm all year round, however, summer and winter are officially recorded in December and June respectively.
